Hurricane Straight Six Standard VS High Output: What’s The Difference?

It’s been nearly four years since Stellantis announced the introduction of a new pair of twin-turbo straight-six engines from the Hurricane family. The intention was to bring next-generation power to the brand’s next-generation cars, trucks, and SUVs, including the Ram 1500, Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Dodge Charger. Compared to V8 engines from both its own family and competitors, the next-generation Hurricane Straight-Six Turbo (SST) engines cut emissions and fuel costs while delivering more horsepower and torque.
