In recent years, the Hyundai N Division has emerged as a high-performance branch of the Korean brand, showcasing its efforts to elevate Hyundai vehicles with the Veloster N hatchback. Heavily influenced and shaped by former talent from legacy German performance departments, namely Albert Biermann (former chief of research and development of BMW’s M Division), this in-house performance division aimed to take existing production Hyundai models and make them more exciting to drive, on par with the likes of hot hatches like the Volkswagen Golf GTI and performance-spec EVs.
