Hyundai delivered a breakout hit with the Ioniq 5 electric hatchback. The Ioniq 5 won virtually every award it was up for when it debuted for the 2022 model year. And it was good enough at being a normal car that it inspired me to go electric. For 2025, Hyundai took things up a notch (or 12) with the Ioniq 5 N. It packs up to 641 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque, accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.25 seconds, and delivers perhaps the closest thing we’ve seen to fun and engagement from an electric sports car.
