N. It’s a single letter that is supposed to signify Hyundai’s performance division. Hyundai says it represents two elements. The Namyang district in South Korea, says Hyundai, is the birthplace of the N brand and the location of the company’s Global Research and Development Center. Secondly, the N refers to the legendary Nürburgring racetrack in Germany. Hyundai N runs a Technical Center at the track, and uses the iconic circuit to develop all its performance cars.
