Simple is almost always better. It’s why lithium-ion EV batteries use copper to bring the electrons from inside the cell to where they’re needed to go. Solid state batteries, though, couldn’t use copper inside the cell, they had to use more expensive and less conductive metals instead. Until now, that is.
