Jaguar’s idea really should have worked. Following a mini-resurgence in the late 2000s with several BMW-rivaling sedans and the F-Type as the E-Type’s long-awaited successor, Jaguar took another bold step into the relative unknown in 2018 by introducing the I-Pace. It was the marque’s first battery-electric vehicle and the first significant EV developed in Britain. The model was sleek, sophisticated, and luxurious. The I-Pace was supposed to be a key part of the automaker’s electrification strategy.
