Despite various special trade deals that have been arranged since the impending August tariff deadline was announced earlier this year, South Korea hasn’t made one yet and will still be on the hook for the full 25% tariff impact on the vehicles it manufactures outside the US market. That means popular models like the Kia Carnival minivan, as well as the all-new K4 and bigger K5 sedans are becoming more of a pricing headache for Kia’s existing business plan.
