The Lexus ES spent decades battling the perception that it was little more than a dressed-up Toyota Camry. The eighth-generation model, introduced for 2026, finally put that criticism to rest. Although still related to the Camry, the new ES brought sharp styling, a rich, tech-focused cabin, and a choice of hybrid or fully electric powertrains, pushing it closer than ever to the heart of the luxury sedan segment. Lexus capitalized on that transformation by sharply raising prices, and the 2027 model year brings another round of increases.
