The LM7 is one of those fly-under-the-radar performance engines. We’ve seen tuners get four-figure horsepower ratings out of this motor, but to most drivers this is the 295-hp motor found in Chevy Tahoes and Cadillac Escalades in the early 2000s. Certainly a potent engine, but something you’d associate more with full-size SUVs and pickups than with track-only muscle cars.
