Back in March, Mercedes-Benz revealed its plans to pump $4 billion into its Alabama factory through 2030. The bulk of the spending was dedicated to production of its high-volume crossover, the GLC. The plan came a year after Mercedes started paying President Donald Trump’s tariffs, aiming to build the GLC at its assembly plant near Tuscaloosa starting in November 2027.
