The G-Wagen has become a mainstay of the Mercedes-Benz lineup. It’s immensely popular. It’s profitable. And Mercedes has been steadily fleshing out its offerings to create a G-Class sub-brand. Mercedes built an all-electric version, the G 580 with EQ Technology. And a smaller, more affordable “baby G-Class” crossover is in the works.
