The current generation of the Mitsubishi Triton has been around since 2023 without a facelift, but the Brazilian division of the automaker keeps it fresh with new special editions. Following the luxurious Terra and the tough BF///MS, Mitsubishi has launched the rally-inspired Triton Savana Sertões, bringing factory-installed recovery gear and off-road accessories.
The new model is an evolution of the limited-production Triton Savana from 2025. As hinted at by its name, it was created to honor the Rally dos Sertões – a gruelling rally-raid competition held in Brazil since 1993.

The Savana Sertões is exclusively available in a Cinza Concrete shade with orange accents and satin gray trim. To shield the bodywork during off-road adventures, Mitsubishi added front and rear skid plates along with side steps that double as rock sliders, all coated in X-Liner anti-scratch protective compound.
More importantly, the midsize truck comes standard with a snorkel, increasing wading depth to 800 mm (31.5 inches). It also gets a steel roof rack rated to carry up to 50 kg (110 lbs) of cargo. The latter arrives with a shovel and recovery boards, helping the driver get out of difficult situations in deep mud.

As with the regular Savana, the Sertões doesn’t get any performance or suspension upgrades over the flagship Katana trim of the Triton, leaving that for future Ralliart-branded models. However, it does ride on a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT all-terrain tires.
Inside, the special edition features orange stitching, a special badge on the dashboard, and rubber floor mats. Equipment is pretty generous with leather upholstery, a 9-inch infotainment, a 360-degree camera, a rear roof-mounted air circulator, seven airbags and an ADAS suite.

Under the hood lies the familiar 2.4-liter bi-turbo diesel producing 202 hp (151 kW / 205 PS) and 470 Nm (346.6 lb-ft) of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed automatic and Mitsubishi’s Super Select 4WD-II system. The latter includes a full-time 4H mode, center and rear differential locks, low range, seven selectable drive modes, and Active Yaw Control (AYC).
The Mitsubishi Triton Savana Sertões is available to order in Brazil at a promotional launch price of R$ 339,990 ($66,000). The automaker confirmed that the special edition will be a limited production affair, although they didn’t specify the number of units that will be built.
