Brookfield, DMB and Common Bond Development are developing EastMarket, a retail center near the Mesa Gateway Airport. The project will include grocery, restaurant, multifamily housing and retail stores on the northeast corner of East Ray Road and South Ellsworth Road.
It’s in the 3,200-acre Eastmark community. In 2013, DMB partnered with Brookfield Residential to build Eastmark, a development extending 4 million commercial square feet that encompasses 14,000 entitled homes.
The 6.6-acre first phase of the team’s latest project will be anchored by a 23,000-square-foot Sprouts Farmer Market store, which should open in 2027. In addition to the Sprouts store, the site could have four other commercial retail buildings and a restaurant location. The plan also includes a multifamily component.
