Mopar Is Bringing A Hot New Dodge Charger Concept To SEMA

Mopar is preparing to reveal a new concept at the 2025 SEMA Show.

The new concept will aim to increase interest in the Dodge Charger.

We’re fast drawing near to November, and that’s an important month for the tuning world as the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) traditionally takes place in the penultimate month of the year. As usual, Mopar is planning to showcase its commitment to the aftermarket, and the first vehicle it’s teasing for this year’s extravaganza is a concept based on the new Dodge Charger. Unfortunately, the Stellantis-owned parts and accessory company has provided almost no information on what to expect, but what we do know is that this isn’t the only teaser or showcar we’ll get.

Several Mopar Concepts On The Way

Stellantis has not provided any details on this concept, only a single teaser sketch. It has, however, confirmed that it is planning “a wide and wild array of customized vehicles and hundreds of […] performance parts and accessories. We expect to see the new 650-horsepower Ram street truck, and likely some new takes on the likes of the Dodge Durango and Jeep Wrangler, if past years’ exhibitions are anything to go by. We also expect some new accessories for the slow-selling Dodge Charger, which this new concept will no doubt showcase. But will some suspension, wheel, and paint changes be enough to shift public perception?

Dodge Charger Desperately Needs New Life

Earlier this year, Stellantis pulled the plug on the base Dodge Charger Dayona R/T for 2026 after sales this year were pitiful. In addition, the range-topping SRT Banshee variant that was supposed to replace the Hellcats of yesteryear and thus completely change how the world views muscle cars is now reportedly unlikely to ever see the light of day. This new concept being teased by Mopar is meant to generate a little more interest in the electrified muscle car, presumably based on the Charger Scat Pack (likely not the 2026 variant with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six hybrid powertrain), but what showgoers would really get excited by is the return of the V8, something that has been rumored for months and is looking more and more likely as Dodge tries to salvage its reputation as a purveyor of red-blooded muscle. Will Stellantis surprise us and give the public what it wants? It’s highly unlikely, but these are trying times for the Stellantis mega corporation, and such a move might be just what the doctor ordered.
