Hot take: the Cadillac CT4‑V and Subaru WRX are very different cars from very different automakers, but philosophically, they’re aligned far more closely than their badges suggest. Both tap into decades of sports and performance sedan expertise, both come with lessons learned from the world of motorsports baked in, each flaunts some of its brand’s flagship technologies, and both soldiered on to bring performance‑sedan firepower to the fans even as the industry ditched the sedan form factor at large. The CT4‑V officially left production earlier this summer, making the 2026 model year the nameplate’s last, with no successor announced. May it be remembered with fondness, not sadness.
