Mitsubishi hasn’t sold the Montero SUV in the US market since 2006, though a fourth-gen model lived on under the global Pajero nameplate until 2021. Earlier this year, early prototypes of what appears to be a new Mitsubishi SUV – likely based on the Nissan Armada – showed up testing on public roads, leading us to believe it’s only a matter of time before the Montero and/or Pajero make a glorious return.
