The massive Nashville hotel-and-entertainment Mecca is getting even more massive. The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center features 2,888 guest rooms, 20 restaurants, nine acres of indoor atriums featuring lush plants, winding pathways, and waterfalls with flatboat rides inside the hotel. Amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a full-service spa.
Recently, Ryman Hospitality reached a milestone in topping off its $131 million expansion of the popular attraction. The expansion will add 108,000 square feet of meeting space to the property. It includes a 31,000-square-foot ballroom, 38,000 square feet of breakout space and 39,000 square feet of pre-function space. The project is set to be complete in the second quarter of 2027 which will be Opryland’s 50th birthday.
The expansion is part of a larger $224 million project at Opryland, that also included a $53 million renovation of existing meeting space and the $40 million transformation of the Magnolia Pool Courtyard, which includes a 550-seat sports bar, Foundry Fieldhouse Sports Bar & Taproom.
