A certain sports car manufacturer from Germany has a rather full trophy case. Porsche’s plaudits include records everywhere from the Nürburgring to the deserts of Dakar, and it’s all too proud to show off every chance it gets. However, unless you’ve got a photographic memory for obscure, yet awesome, 911s, you might not be too familiar with “Edith” and “Doris.” The Porsche Museum wants to change that, giving the custom-built Carrera 4S off-roaders a little more time in the spotlight to commemorate their 2023 record for high-altitude driving.
