The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT is a monumental display of EV prowess, notching up Nürburgring records, drift records, and a few American track records this year, too. Now, it’s got something else to brag about. The Tacyan Turbo GT is officially too fast for the drag strip, at least in Australia, mimicking a feat last bragged about by Dodge when it launched the Challenger SRT Demon. It seems at odds for a stock car to be labeled too fast for the drag strip, an environment literally created for cars to exercise insane speeds. But in much the same way the Demon was banned from drag strips, the Taycan in question recorded a quarter-mile time so rapid it would need a parachute to continue racing.
