Paint to Sample on the UK Cayenne Electric now spans 105 colors, up from 13, for $10,600 at current exchange rates. Wireless charging can now actually be ordered, not just prepared for: the vehicle-side hardware runs about $2,600 on top of a PTS shade, plus a separate $7,200 ground pad delivering up to 11 kW at roughly 90 percent efficiency, with an automatic charging halt if anything wanders onto the pad. Electric self-closing doors add $2,200, and a new massage seat option — 16 air cushions, six sound actuators, and what Porsche calls a “four-dimensional musical experience” — runs about $3,900.
How This Compares To What Americans Already Get
The US Cayenne Electric lineup already includes Paint to Sample, but through a different program: 92 historical colors for $13,870, a scope Porsche’s own configurator confirms is a separate track from what the UK just expanded. Wireless charging is further along in the US in one sense — Autoblog previously tracked a fully-loaded Cayenne Turbo Electric build with the wireless system included as an $8,000 line item, close to the UK’s roughly $9,800 combined total once both pieces are added together. Neither the electric self-closing doors nor the massage seat system have a confirmed US price or availability at this point.

The Most Interesting Option Isn’t The Paint
Porsche’s wireless charging system remains the more technically notable story here, regardless of market — engineering constraints mean it can’t currently fit in the smaller Taycan or Macan Electric, making the Cayenne’s extra size a genuine functional advantage rather than just a styling choice. That the UK is now the market where buyers can actually check the box for it, rather than just prepare the hardware for a later install, is arguably more significant than the paint news the original story led with — even if Porsche’s habit of charging steeply for marginal extras is well established at this point on both sides of the Atlantic.
