
Powerhouse Data Centers is looking to build its next facility near Uhland, in Caldwell County. The company is planning a 500-acre project in the Caldwell Valley Technology Park.
PowerHouse is a data center developer with nearly 120 data centers in planning, underway, or completed. Its projects represent over 8.1 gigawatts in eight major U.S. markets, including Irving and Grand Prairie. The company planned to use reclaimed water and minimal water connections for the project.
Caldwell County, south of Austin with a population around 52,000, has been a target for a wealth of data center development. Area projects being developed include those by Tract, Edged Energy and Prime Data Centers.
