Amazon has been linked to a massive new logistics hub project to be built on the Arlington-Marysville border in Washington.
The proposed development, dubbed Project Cascade, is in both the Arlington and Marysville city limits. The city of Arlington is currently in discussions with Panattoni Development Company, Inc., regarding the planned property. Panattoni’s proposal emerged earlier this year, but the tenant was not revealed. The site at 172nd Street and 67th Avenue in the Cascade Industrial Center is zoned for warehouse and distribution uses. No building permit applications have been submitted to the city.
“While terms haven’t been finalized, we’re in the early planning stages for a new operations facility to support customer delivery in the Central and North Puget Sound area,” said Easton Craft, Economic Development Manager for Amazon, in a statement. “We’re committed to being a good neighbor, and before any new facility launches, we engage with local officials and community members to discuss our operations, answer questions, and learn how we can boost the community’s growth and prosperity.”
