
Publix will anchor the 82-acre Cadia Matthews mixed-use development at Stallings and Idlewild roads. Pappas Properties has begun work on the retail phase of its master-planned development in Matthews, which will be anchored by the well-known grocery chain.
The Charlotte Business Journal reports sitework is nearly complete, and construction is expected to begin later this fall.at the 120,000-square-foot commercial village at Cadia Village. The first retail buildings are scheduled to be delivered in June, and the quick-service restaurant will be delivered next fall.
The development will include a bank and a 12,000-square-foot, stand-alone medical office building.
Thrift Commercial Real Estate Services is handling retail leasing. Choate Construction is the general contractor for the retail village and Publix store.
At full buildout, Cadia Village Matthews will have 570 total residential units with a mix of for-sale and rental product types.
