Shelby American rolled out the F-150 Super Snake SuperCrew just last month, and for a moment, it looked like they’d set a new bar for street trucks. Built from the Ford F-150 Lariat, this beast cranks out over 810 horsepower with its Stage 2 supercharger, plus a bunch of upgrades to make sure it looks and drives the part.
But Ram wasn’t about to let Shelby have all the fun. The brand just dropped a Direct Connection supercharger kit for the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT, bumping power from 777 to a wild 900+ hp. There are a few other factory-backed goodies in the mix, but this is the one stealing the spotlight.
If we’re talking pure power and bang for your buck, Ram just took the crown. The supercharged Rumble Bee SRT outguns the Shelby and does it for a lot less cash, making it the new king in the street truck horsepower war.

One Supercharger, Multiple Muscle Trucks
The star of Ram’s latest reveal is a 3.0-liter twin-screw Direct Connection supercharger. It swaps out the standard blower for a bigger one, complete with a massive air-to-water intercooler and a beefed-up coolant pump to keep things cool when you’re pushing hard. Best part? An ASE-certified Mopar tech installs it, and you still get the five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
On the Rumble Bee SRT, this upgrade cranks things up to over 900 horsepower. Pop the hood, and you’ll spot the bright Rumble Bee Yellow supercharger cover right away.
The best part? This supercharger isn’t just for the top dog street truck. Ram’s rolling out versions for the whole Rumble Bee lineup. The regular 5.7-liter HEMI Rumble Bee jumps to over 600 hp, and the 392 and 392 Track Pack get bumped past 700. Each kit starts at $10,995 before installation.
The big 3.0-liter supercharger is coming to the Ram TRX too, pushing it past 900 hp. Now off-road fans can get in on the same wild numbers as the Rumble Bee SRT, just with a different flavor.

Direct Connection Adds More Than Just Horsepower
Sure, the supercharger is the star, but Ram’s Direct Connection catalog has more tricks up its sleeve. Want more noise? There are Magnaflow cat-back exhausts with stainless steel, three-inch pipes, and black chrome five-inch tips stamped with Direct Connection logos. Prices start at $1,599 for the base Rumble Bee and go up to $2,399 for the SRT.
Ram didn’t forget about handling, either. There’s a Ridetech suspension kit for the coil-spring Rumble Bee and 392, dropping the truck an inch up front and three inches out back. You also get 24-way adjustable coilovers and beefier control arms. Ram says it sharpens up the drive without making daily use a pain. The kit should go for $4,590 before installation.
To top it all off, there are Direct Connection graphics in low-gloss black with accent colors to match each engine, so you can give your truck a factory-approved custom touch.

The Price Makes Ram’s Case Even Stronger
Ram says a 2027 Rumble Bee SRT with the Direct Connection supercharger will set you back $105,990 before fees and installation. That gets you a factory-backed 900-horsepower monster for about $35,000 less than Shelby’s latest street truck.
By comparison, the 2026 Shelby F-150 Super Snake SuperCrew starts at $140,795 and delivers more than 810 horsepower through its Stage 2 supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Shelby counters with exclusivity, premium interior appointments, signature styling, and limited production of just 400 units.
If it’s all about performance and value, Ram just tipped the scales. More power, a factory warranty, and a much lower price tag make the supercharged Rumble Bee SRT one of the hottest street trucks out there right now. Shelby’s got the legacy, but Ram’s got the numbers.
