Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle High School, a private high school in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood, has purchased a three-acre site for $3.6 million to accommodate more students.
The school at 10001 57th Ave. S. plans to break ground on a new 21,000-square-foot academic building, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal. Public47 Architects is the designer, and Exxel Pacific is the general contractor on the project.
The land includes space for the school’s new 21,000-square-foot building at 10001 57th Ave. S. The Norcliffe Academic Center is scheduled to break ground in mid-September. It also includes a convent that the school is using as office space.
The site is part of the St. Paul Church campus, where the school currently operates. Under a deal negotiated with the Archdiocese of Seattle, the school has the option to acquire the remaining acreage on the St. Paul campus for an additional $3.4 million.
