Stonemont Financial Group is looking to build a 568,720-square-foot industrial facility in Winder. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the estimated value at build-out would be about $70 million. Winder is between Atlanta and Athens.
Stonemount does not own the land. The Winder-Barrow Industrial Building Authority is the owner of record of the site, having taken title to it in June 2006. Stonemont’s development is expected to finish by the end of 2027.
This proposal is located along Innovation Drive next to an existing 275,840-square-foot industrial building that was delivered in 2022. That facility is leased to Everluxe Building Products, which makes kitchen and bathroom cabinets. The site is also located near Lanier Technical College Winder-Barrow Campus, Innovation Amphitheater, and Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy.
Stonemont co-developed the 7.7 million-square-foot Georgia International Trade Center near the Port of Savannah and several build-to-suit projects for Amazon. It has $5.3 billion in assets under management.
