The Tensor G6 is Google’s current flagship chipset, powering its flagship smartphone line, the Pixel 11. The silicon series’ long-running focus on bolstering AI workloads continues with this release, with Google claiming significant gains over the Tensor G5 in daily tasks like web browsing and app launches, as well as machine learning-adjacent tasks. However, this also means that the Tensor G6 loses ground to the competition in other areas, namely gaming and raw performance metrics.
