It used to be that if you wanted lots of torque, you just needed a really big engine. Displacement was the name of the game, with Exhibit A arriving straight from Dodge. The first Viper of the early 1990s rocked an 8.0-liter V10 built for that original snake, making it the king of displacement and the undisputed king of naturally aspirated torque.
