Stretching the Life Cycle
The Lexus IS is practically a dinosaur among sport sedans, but it’s managed to hang on thanks to a recent facelift and a shuffled lineup. Those tweaks kept it looking sharp, but also nudged its price tag dangerously close to its German rivals.
For 2027, Lexus remains faithful to that trend. The IS comes back mostly untouched, but – surprise – prices are climbing again. The only real news is a Special Appearance Package that spices up the looks, while everything under the skin stays exactly the same.
The 2027 IS now kicks off at $47,545, including Lexus’ $1,395 delivery, processing, and handling fee. The price bump isn’t as wild as last year’s, but it keeps pushing the IS further up the ladder as the cost of entry into Lexus’ sport sedan club.

Everything Carries Over… Almost
If you were hoping for big changes to go with the price bump, you’re out of luck. The 2027 IS soldiers on with the same 3.5-liter V6 making 311 horsepower. Adaptive Variable Suspension, Drive Mode Select, and the Torsen limited-slip diff all stick around for rear-drive F SPORT models.
Inside, it’s business as usual. Every IS gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen with the Lexus Interface system, plus a matching digital gauge cluster. The 10-speaker Lexus Premium Sound is standard, but you can still splurge for the 17-speaker Mark Levinson setup if you want to rattle your windows.
Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 remains standard, bringing features such as Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Proactive Driving Assist.
A few minor tweaks include heated steering wheels as standard on F SPORT Design models, plus a fresh set of 19-inch black and machine-finished wheels for 2027.

But There’s a New Special Appearance Package
The headline for 2027 is the new Special Appearance Package for the IS 350 F SPORT. Lexus is rolling out an exclusive color called Envious – a deep green that you won’t find anywhere else in the IS lineup. Throw in 19-inch black forged BBS wheels, and you’ve got a sedan that stands out, even if the go-fast bits stay the same.
Inside, the tweaks keep coming: black NuLuxe seats with Ultrasuede inserts, green contrast stitching, and satin chrome trim to tie it to the exterior. Mechanically, however, there’s no difference. The Special Appearance Package is all about looks, not speed, so you’re just getting another way to personalize your IS without touching that V6.
Of note, Lexus hasn’t revealed pricing for the package yet. The 2027 lineup is expected to reach dealerships later this year.
