BMW launches its new Neue Klasse EV platform next year, with the iX3 crossover – one of BMW’s most important car launches in decades – arriving in summer 2026. BMW has made bold claims about the iX3, saying it will deliver 463 horsepower, more than 400 miles of EPA range, and state-of-the-art 400 kW charging capability, all for a starting price of around $60,000. Thus far, the car has backed up those claims. Engineers drove an iX3 621 miles on a single charge on European roads. And BMW just made perhaps its boldest claim yet about the iX3 and its next-generation EV platform.
