There are only three vehicles sold in the US by American brands with a base price below $25,000. Each is a General Motors product—two from Chevrolet and one from Buick—which comes as no surprise in 2026, a year in which we find Chrysler and Dodge making a single product each, and Ford not having turned out a sedan in six years. GM has been looking to offer something as the tides change across the American car market, and its interpretation of an inexpensive vehicle means offering something it knows American buyers would buy in bulk if they could. They are the Chevy Trax, Trailblazer, and the Buick Envista.
