There’s something dramatic and imposing about a 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL600, a big, beautifully engineered roadster that was one of the defining luxury cars of its time. Some have grown quite valuable on the collector market, but occasionally an example from this generation of the SL (known by the internal code R129) comes along that smashes expectations.
