While being able to throw a little Mazda Miata or a thrilling hot hatch like the Ford Focus RS around like a toy has its merits, sometimes you can’t replicate the feeling of wrestling around something with more displacement than sense. The trouble is, cars with large engines, such as a V12, tend to cost an absolute fortune. There are cheaper specimens around, but these are usually big, luxurious cruisers, which have the tendency to lower your heart rate rather than quicken it.
