By the late 1990s, Buick had become a brand known for crafting quiet, conservative sedans for a more refined crowd. They were well-built and supremely comfortable cars, but we’d be lying if we didn’t say the brand had lost its excitement, pioneered years prior by names like GS, GSX, and GNX. However, when the cards are down, GM always has a few tricks up its sleeves, and with the introduction of the completely redesigned fourth generation Regal, the company was ready once again to show the world Buick still has a dark performance side.
