The Toyota hatch is something every automotive enthusiast knows about these days – even in the USA where hatchbacks have been culled over the last decade or two. There were many years when it was missing from the American market, but a hatchback variant of Toyota’s best-selling car, the Toyota Corolla Hatchback, made a return in 2019. Continuing to share a platform and components with its sedan equivalent, the hatch variant aims to rival other Japanese compact hatchbacks in the same segment, such as the Mazda 3 and Honda Civic Hatch.
