When Toyota’s CEO promised no more boring cars, many enthusiasts interpreted that as “long live the stick.” And so far, at least, Toyota is holding up its end of that particular bargain, turning out manuals for all types of enthusiasts. Manually equipped options are available for trails and truck duty, or for those who want to combine performance with everyday practicality. They’re also available for people who want some serious six-cylinder speed or affordable rear-wheel-drive entertainment. And while one option appears to be on its way out, Toyota is still pandering to the needs of the stick-shifting set.
