One of the highest honors for someone in the automotive industry is to be inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame. There are regional automotive halls of fame, but this one, currently based in Dearborn, Michigan, recognizes people from around the globe, and it has for decades. The organization that created it started in 1939, and the first official inductees came in 1967 with Walter P. Chrysler, Henry Ford, Charles Kettering, and Alfred P. Sloan.
