If you’re wondering when the market for battery-electric vehicles in the US will be clearly in recovery mode, there are some positive signs, mixed in with indicators that there’s a long way to go. EV deliveries skyrocketed last year as federal tax credits were going away, topping 12% of US sales. Going further back to third-quarter 2024, EVs accounted for 8.9% of US sales. This year, EVs have hovered around the 6% mark.
