Today’s cars are all about tech: large infotainment touchscreens, voice assistants, and a myriad of other features built to (at least in theory) make our lives easier. Many models on sale today even include features that were previously only found on mobile devices and computers, such as gaming or video content streaming. Sometimes, however, older forms of technology are the best. For example, an automaker can choose to use features like physical buttons and dials rather than touchscreens. This can enhance the visual appeal of a car’s interior, as well as decrease the risk of distraction for the driver.
