A 174-unit Greensboro senior-living community — Harmony at Greensboro — has been purchased for $123.5 million by Janus Living. The 6.65-acre community at 3420 Whitehurst Road offers independent, assisted and assisted memory care residential units, as well as onsite rehabilitation services.
The 193,673-square-foot facility has 95 independent living units, 48 assisted living units and 34 memory care beds.
The seller is Smith/Packett, who owns and operates the Harmony-branded sites. The company will continue to operate the center. The $38 million center started construction in 2018 and opened in March 2020.
The Greensboro senior-living community is Janus’ first in North Carolina. Janus operates 42 communities in 11 states.
Smith/Packett has a strong regional presence. It owns Harmony at Brookberry Farm in Winston-Salem. It is also developing Harmony of Kernersville, scheduled to open in early 2028 with 90 beds.
