Mansory Turned the Ford GT Into a $1.8 Million Supercar Nobody Asked For

There are just some cars you don’t mess with; these cars are at the level of reverence and status that they must be kept as close to original as possible. An example is the Ford GT, the brand’s halo car, the very best they have to offer. It took years and millions of dollars to craft and create this car.

You could forgive changing the rims or maybe a new paint job, but Mansory isn’t subtle, nor do they care about the norm. Back in 2020, they made the Le Mansory Ford GT, which has been resurrected through a YouTube walk-around video.

Unrecognizeable

The Le Mansory Ford GT was unfortunately the result of the German tuner’s celebratory efforts for its own 30th anniversary. We can now all relive the glory through this up-close and personal video showing the Le Mansory Ford GT in all its glory. Mansory says that the Le Mansory was designed around the idea of fashion and cars, an automotive haute couture if you will. Just looking at the car gives you the impression that they nailed the brief they set out to do; it’s definitely striking in an abstract sort of way.

Its exterior shows that the car has been widened, specifically by 2 inches. It also does away with the factory front fascia; in its place is a Y-shaped carbon nose piece and heavy hood inlets. Next, the hood has intake scoops, and finally, the rear has a massive rear wing and, weirdly, a three-pipe exhaust layout. Not to mention the massive 21-inch MansoryYN.5 fully forged alloy rims.

As crazy and distorted as the outside looks, the interior of the Le Mansory is actually quite tame and not assaulting to the eyes. Most of the panels have been redone using Alcantara; in the case of the video car, the interior takes a predominantly white theme. Mansory kept the factory powertrain components intact, but fiddled with the engine management system, boosting power up to 710 hp, from the original 660 hp.

Keeping Value

Only six Le Mansory Ford GTs were slated for production, making it a rare car (thank heavens). Out of curiosity, we searched the current market value, and it seems the rarity and the build have done nothing to increase the price over the past 6 years. When it was first introduced, Mansory priced it at $1.8 million; nowadays, the only listed example is priced at around $1.6 million.

There is an exception: Mansory created the Steph Curry edition, which is an even more “special” edition of the already special edition car. This has an estimated value of around $2.6 million.
