
- Newmark has hired Susan Machtiger, a recognized expert in advising some of the largest companies in the world, as Executive Chairman, Newmark Consulting. - Rudin announced that Steven McKessey has joined the firm as Head of Design and Construction, overseeing Rudin’s 13.1-million-square-foot commercial and multifamily portfolio. A capital projects executive with more than two decades of experience spanning construction management and strategic consulting on large-scale projects, McKessey will direct capital planning, design and construction activities for all Rudin properties.Â
- LNL Capital has appointed Joel Tomlinson as Managing Partner to expand the Company’s structured debt and equity strategy within the single-tenant retail, industrial, and healthcare net lease space. Tomlinson brings over 25 years of industry experience to LNL Capital, having completed more than $15 billion in direct net lease transactions across public and non-traded REITs and alternative asset managers over the course of his career. He joins LNL Capital from Ares Management, where he served as Managing Director and was a founding member of the firm’s net lease strategy. Â
- KSR announced the launch of its new office leasing division, expanding the firm’s brokerage services to include landlord and tenant representation throughout the New York City market. The new division builds on KSR’s established investment sales, retail leasing, and debt advisory capabilities, completing its full-service brokerage model in response to growing demand from existing clients for office leasing expertise.Â
- Israel Leiner has joined Lument’s Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team as a managing director. Based in New Jersey, Leiner will originate debt and preferred equity financing solutions for commercial real estate clients nationwide. Before joining Lument, Leiner served as a managing director, capital markets, with Walker & Dunlop. Â
- RIPCO Real Estate has added Peter Schubert, Kyle Williams and Darlene Lee to its Brooklyn office, strengthening the firm’s landlord and tenant representation capabilities across retail and industrial leasing. The team joins RIPCO following their tenure at TerraCRG, bringing deep relationships with property owners, retailers and emerging brands, as well as specialized expertise across Brooklyn’s commercial real estate landscape.Â
- The NRP Group appointed Nicholas O’Brien as vice president of affordable housing development in New York. O’Brien will help lead the firm’s affordable housing development efforts throughout New York State, focusing on the areas of Long Island, Westchester County, the Hudson Valley and Upstate New YorkÂ

- Franklin BSP Realty Trust, Inc. announced that Richard Byrne, Chairman of the Board and the Company’s former Chief Executive Officer, has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 16, 2026. Byrne succeeds Michael Comparato, who resigned on September 15, 2026 as part of his decision to step back from day-to-day executive responsibilities to spend more time with his family.Â
