Finally, Tesla has something to celebrate with the Cybertruck. It may be the most divisive vehicle on the road but, despite expectations, it has earned the much coveted Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+ award. It’s a much-needed win for the much-maligned electric truck, as the Top Safety Pick+ award is a notoriously hard standard to beat, and Tesla engineers deserve credit for making it happen. However, as this is Tesla we’re talking about, there are, of course, caveats.
