How about this for a crazy idea? Imagine that you’re a car-mad waiter in Vancouver and get together with some fellow restaurant employees, with the dream of building an exotic, homegrown sports car. You take your idea to the Canadian government and, somehow, get plenty of funding so you can actually live the dream. Even better, you somehow convince Pontiac to sell your vehicle through its North American dealerships to turn your fantasy into a reality. Too far-fetched to stand a chance? Well, that’s exactly what an enterprising group of waiters managed to achieve in the mid-1980s, and this is their unlikely but very true story.
